SAFEDISCONE
Nowadays, in order to carry out normal road maintenance tasks, many lane cutting operations are carried out. The most common situations which can occur during lane cutting involve risks which depend on the work procedures, the geometry of the road, the type of road, speeds and other factors which have a direct influence on the safety of the workers carrying out the work, either on foot or in a moving vehicle.
The Safediscone project hopes to provide a technological solution to a problem that is still pending, which causes losses in companies on a daily basis, and above all to improve working conditions so that workers can carry out their tasks safely and efficiently, thereby reducing exposure and the consequences of accidents to a high degree.
This project won the ACEX National Safety Award for promoting a culture of safety, both at work and on the roads, in the conservation and operation of infrastructures and for encouraging a positive attitude towards safety in the conservation of roads, railways, dams and any other infrastructure.
This project has been funded under the Castilla La Mancha Business Innovation Support Programme. The execution and development of SAFEDISCONE results in a total budget of 217.883,68€ and takes place in 2016 and 2017.
